
Time for a magical train trip!
I've posted before about how great the Swiss trains are (and the benefits of travelling with the demi-tariff if you take more than two or three train trips within Switzerland), but it gets even better. Each city and town in Switzerland has daily passes that you can reserve that are valid for 24 hours and good on any Swiss train, bus, tram, or any other kind of public transportation in the country. In French, these are called "carte journaliere," and in Geneva, they cost 40 CHF (as opposed to the unsubsidized price of 71 CHF with the demi-tariff).
